“When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers,
the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
What is man, that thou art mindful of him?”

- Psalms 8:3-4 -

Six thousand years ago
God said, “Let there be light.”
Only the true God could do that,
Showing His marvelous might.

I can imagine the angels
As they began to shout and sing,
When God created Saturn
And gave it its rings.

When He created the stars
None were just clones of the same.
He knows all of them,
For He gave them all their names.

I wonder what the angels said,
When He created the earth;
Or, when He created Adam
Without an act of birth.

So along with the Psalmist I ask,
“Why art thou mindful of us?”
I still don’t know why, but I do know this,
He was so mindful that He gave us Jesus.
