The greatest rivalry is not Carolina vs. Clemson or Ohio St. vs. Michigan. It’s not the Lakers vs. the Celtics in the 80s or the Pacers vs. Knicks in the 90s.
The greatest rivalry is in the Christian’s heart, where there’s a daily (who’m I kidding, an hourly and minute by minute) battle of our mind being gripped by our Savior vs. our mind being gripped by our sins.
Christian, no matter how much it looks like you’re losing the battle, take comfort in the fact that there’s a battle in your heart in the first place. A battle has to have two opposing sides—that lets you know there’s Someone in your heart besides your sin.
And, He’s already won the battle.
