This week I got to preach the first of four sermons before I graduate. The text was 2 Corinthians 12:1–10 and the subject was “The grace of Jesus brings the power of Jesus to our weaknesses.” I bribed Christian to come to class with me and told him we would go to the CFA on campus afterwards (I asked him what was better, my message or the sandwich, and he said the sandwich 😊). A total of four people heard it, it was critiqued and graded afterwards, and now it’s a paper in a drawer. But what makes it so special is that it is a sermon, class, and academic program that years ago I thought I’d never get to be a part of.
So believer, if there’s something in your life that seems to be a closed door. A locked door. A sealed shut door. A closed, padlocked, sealed, boarded up door… Even when you have tried every key you know possible, don’t ever give up. God has a way of unlocking doors for the unlikeliest of people.
